General Policies and Procedures

I must walk into the building with my child each day, make certain the teacher knows he/she is there, and check them into the center using the Procare Parent App or check-in computer. Older children are not to bring or pick up children.
I understand that it is the policy of The Kids Connection to release my child to authorized adults only. I further understand that any person wishing to pick up my child MUST present a picture I.D. before my child will be released into their care. NO EXEPTIONS!
If my child is asleep upon arrival, I will wake him/ her and ensure that he/ she is alert and responsive before I leave.
I understand that The Kids Connection does not allow children, other than school aged children, to be dropped off after 9:30 am. If I arrive with my child after 9:30 am without prior approval, I will not be able to leave my child at the center. I understand that if I successfully check my child in and take them to class AFTER 9:30 am without prior approval, I will be called to pick them up and my account will be charged $50.00 for the first 30 minutes and then $25.00 per hour until I arrive.
I must keep my child and their siblings at home if they have any of the following signs of illness: fever, diarrhea or vomiting in the previous 24-hour period, unusual drowsiness or tiredness, sore throat, persistent cough, discharging eyes, swollen glands around jaws, ears or neck, Impetigo, head or body Lice, skin sores or blisters that ooze, and any other signs or symptoms indicative of a contagious illness. Children too sick to participate fully in class activities, including outside play, need to be kept home. If my child becomes ill while at the center and I am called, I will cooperate by picking my child up within 30 minutes of notification.
If my child's behavior creates an unsafe or disruptive environment for other children or staff, I understand that he/she may be temporarily removed from the program. I will cooperate by picking him/ her up within 30 minutes of notification. If the Director determines that our program is not a good fit for your child, I understand that my child may be withdrawn with or without advance notice and that any unused tuition will not be refunded.
I will bring my child to the center with a complete change of weather appropriate clothing and a blanket marked with his/ her name or initials. In the event that my child uses and is sent home in the center's clothing, I will return them laundered the next day. Blankets must be taken home each Friday to be laundered and returned each Monday. If my child uses a center blanket, I will be charged a fee of $5 per week. If a child has soiled clothing or blankets that are left at the center, the items will be thrown away.
I will inform the Office Staff of changes in addresses, phone numbers, employment, emergency information, or any other changes in family circumstances.
Medications can only be administered to a child with a current medication release form signed by a parent or legal guardian.
I understand that all forms must be returned before my child's first day of attendance or childcare may be denied. This includes meal program forms and immunization records.
I understand that toys from home are not allowed, with the exception of security items and items brought for show and tell. The center will not be responsible for any lost, stolen, or broken toys.
I understand that any sack lunch brought from home will be stored in my child’s cubby, cannot be heated by staff, and must conform to all allergy restrictions for my child's class.
I understand that my child may not bring outside food or drinks into the center other than a properly stored sack lunch.
I will bring my child into the center dressed in clean clothes, a clean diaper, and wearing suitable shoes.
I understand that even with proper adult supervision, accidents can occur. I assume this risk and will not hold The Kids Connection liable for accidents.
I give The Kids Connection permission to photograph my child at the center and on field trips. My child's picture may be displayed at the center, online for use on The Kids Connection website and social media accounts, or in advertising.
I understand that all notifications including incident reports, holiday closures, requests for supplies, and other announcements will be sent to me electronically on the Procare Parent App.
I understand that The Kids Connection uses a video monitoring system in each classroom to monitor the activity of teachers and children. The information is digitally recorded and archived for 5 days before being automatically deleted; it will be used by The Kids Connection strictly to ensure the quality of care my child is receiving.
I understand that The Kids Connection reserves the right to change or add to this form or any part of this enrollment packet, including quoted rates as they deem necessary. By signing below, I agree to the terms of the most current policies.
